The clock spring maintains electrical connection between your steering wheel and the car’s main systems while you turn the wheel.
It powers critical components, including the driver’s airbag safety system, horn, steering wheel radio, and cruise control buttons. A faulty clock spring can cause the warning light to illuminate. Additionally, the horn, radio controls, and cruise controls may stop working.
